I'm a dyed in the wool old hippie, born in Cali, taught to spin on a drop spindle at the age of four by my godfather's neighbor, who also taught me to weave and crochet. I fell in love with wool and natural fibre then.
I'm currently in the mad knitting spree before my first grandson makes his debut in late May and I have wool begging to become warm wear for him that needs spinning! So, projects are planned, materials are being sourced and soon I will have a small wheel to work on. Tomorrow I'll have a spindle again. It is good.
